Timelapse, unfocused, untimed, all night long

Well this is the building opposite mine, I just felt like trying this out. Rigged my camera with a 16-35mm, and the TC-80N3. And by the way, if you want more than 99 images using this one, set it to 00 and let it run until the battery drains or the memory card fills up! Well the camera securly “NOT” on a pillow in the window, and the focus set to somewhere else, I went to sleep. And this is the resulting timelapse. It´s nothing much, but I find it kind of funny.

Thanks for your time, this time.

Spiritual painter

3791926792_32c0644972_bCreating this shot was a combination of standard lighting techniques and a great idea from a good friend. Easy enough as you can see from the lighting diagram further down the page, I put a strobe behind the subject, projecting a green cast on the background, using a gree gel on the strobe. Further for the lift of light in the face I crammed a shoot tru umbrella as close as I could at camera right, without it  entering the frame. LightingSetup

Sadly I didn´t have good enough distance to the background so I had to lift some shadows, and correct some unwanted highlights. It´s really the idea that makes this shot, and not the easy lighting. Sprung out from the fact that my friend was painting and had this coat on, created an atmosphere where the adding of arms and collating with the pallettes created a strong image with something more that just a pretty face.

Stereoscopic 3D

A very short test of the technique of setting two cameras side by side and shooting, and then view them afterwards crossed eyes. This is a small time lapse, it´s short, not alot of action, but still I think it shows the effect ok. Great fun, hope to do more of these soon! Done in collaboration with Carsten Aniksdal

The bloom of magnolia

In the spring time, we here in Oslo, share a great big garden filled to the brim with loads of nice blooms and trees. And here we find the magnolia, in the spirit of spring time, we jacked up a steadicam with the 5Dmk2, and made a short presentation about the magnolia, and the joys of spring. There has been a sequal lurking on my harddrive for way to long, maybe this will be a springboard to get it out…..

Stop motion mania

Using the great fps on a Canon 40D, I made this real down and dirty stop motion video. It really shows that cool things can be done with this technique, even when you don´t spend alot of time thinking about what to do!
